Vases of Meissen porcelain. Meissen/painted hard-paste porcelain. In the 1720's Meissen began producing colourfully decorated vases on a large scale. While the shapes and decoration of the vases were often inspired by models from China, they were hardly ever literal copies of them. Johann Gregorius Horoldt, who headed the painting workshop at the factory from 1720 onwards, specialized in fanciful scenes with Chinese figures, which were painted on many of the vases. https://www.alamy.com/licenses-and-pricing/?v=1 https://www.alamy.com/vases-of-meissen-porcelain-meissenpainted-hard-paste-porcelain-in-image68542476.html
